It’s durable and even safer than natural grass because it eliminates harmful pesticides and chemicals needed for natural lawn maintenance. Plus, you get the added advantage of weed control and reduced allergies. All synthetic grass sold at Arizona Turf Masters has been rigorously tested and verified in independent labs to be 100% lead-free, non-toxic, non-flammable and safe for humans and pets.

Your pets will love rolling in the lush green grass and you’ll appreciate how easy it is to clean and maintain plus the benefit of no more muddy paw prints, brown spots or holes dug in your yard! Products include drainage holes in the backing of the synthetic grass, which drain at 30 gallons per hour per square yard. This drainage system helps with cleanup and prevents odor-causing bacteria from growing. Just scoop up solids after your pet and rinse. Use ZeoFill premium pet odor infill along with PE-51 neutralizer to maintain a safe, clean and odor-free pet paradise!

A COMPREHENSIVE TURF SYSTEM FOR PETS IS COMPRISED OF:

    - HIGH GRADE SYNTHETIC GRASS
    - PROPER DRAINAGE
    - ODOR CONTROL
    - INFILL OPTIONS & PET DEODORIZER
    - DRAINAGE LAYER

SYNTHETIC GRASS STANDS UP TO THE WEAR AND TEAR OF PAWS AND CLAWS AND ELIMINATES MUD AND PUDDLES.

A KEY FEATURE TO CONSIDER WHEN THINKING ABOUT ARTIFICIAL TURF FOR PETS IS DRAINAGE. PROPER DRAINAGE WILL ENSURE YOUR SYNTHETIC GRASS STAYS CLEAN, DRY, AND ODOR FREE.

An under-drain system works in conjunction with the backing of synthetic grass. Natural infill brushed into the fibers of the grass also helps with drainage.

The drainage layer is also used in heavy rainfall areas, terrain with less than 2% slope, or indoors over concrete where it provides the ultimate in odor control. It is a perfect solution for commercial kennels and doggy day care centers or for residences that have a dog pen with a concrete floor. Our drainage separates the artificial grass from the ground or concrete and directs the waste to a predetermined drainage area to reduce odors. Additionally, the drainage blanket has the capacity to evacuate over 4 inches of rain per hour!

Frequently Asked Questions About Synthetic Grass & Dogs

How is the urine and waste handled?

Our Synthetic Grass System is not much different from natural grass. Urine washes through the system into the Drainage layer the crushed rock sub-base below. Drainage options are available. Waste can be removed using your current process, only it tends to be a lot easier with artificial grass installed by Arizona Turf Masters.

How do you clean synthetic grass?

Normal Scooping duties, and hosing it off once in a while with an antimicrobial spray, and if you are using our Zeofill Rain is usually sufficient. Another option is to fill a garden feeder with ‘Simple Green’, attach to a hose and spray your synthetic dog run to disinfect and eliminate odors.

Can you get rid of pet odors?

We can help you during the install with the right choices in infill and turf. If your turf is older it may need to be replaced if correct infill, drainage layer and maintenance wasn’t done properly.

Will my dog think it's real grass?

Dogs absolutely love it! Many dogs will avoid gravel and cement. Some people do try and train their dogs not to use the turf. While others specifically build dog runs out of artificial turf because it is so easy to maintain and the dog even stays cleaner longer.

Will my dog try to dig a hole through the synthetic grass?

Some dogs will try to dig through anything. Our dog run turf is extremely durable with a double-coated backing making it almost impossible to tear - but there can be exceptions. We recommend putting extra border stakes around the perimeter of the dog run to discourage dogs from digging.

How do you remove dog hair from synthetic grass?

Saturate the synthetic turf with water. Immediately follow with a soft bristled push broom. Brush with the grain of the fibers. Fibers tend to lean more towards one direction than the other. Holding the push broom snug against your belt, start at one end and walk the broom to the opposite side. Don't use brush strokes. This should remove most of the hair.

    Infill Options

INFILL MATERIAL OPTIONS FOR SYNTHETIC TURF

There are many options for infill materials. The infill systems are designed to create a ballast to prevent wrinkling and it truly gives artificial turf the support and stability to make it maintain the appearance of naturl grass. There are many options when choosing an infill material for your artificial turf. Most products require 1lb to 3lb of infill per square foot. Adding infill material on top of your synthetic grass is the final stage of the installation process.
